I had laser eye surgery (LPI) to correct Angle Closure Glaucoma last year - actually the first eye was done April 20th and the second eye was done May 19th.
I had 40/20 vision before. Now I have to live with 20/20 and I'm nearsighted. I also have trouble focusing on details in low light situations from close, far vision has little or no problems.
However I see reflections on high contrast, one per eye. For example at the movies, in a dark room, black screen, white text, I will see the white text once clearly, then once per eye again but out of focus, above and to the side of the real image.
It's a major pain in the ass but over the winter, from driving in the dark (because sundown ~ 4PM...) I got used to it.
Would I do it again? Yes because my risk of developing glaucoma drops drastically, also I have less headaches than I used to due to the pressure inbalance between the back/front of the eye.
I think what bothered me the most are the side effects of the (fucking) dilations, every time it's 3-4 days of severe headache and it takes over a week for my vision to become normal again.
