I visited two tire shops last week getting quotes for winter tires and steel rims. Costco had a 2-3 week back order on tires and required me to order the rims online, have them shipped home, bring them in to their tire centre and they would install and balance. Long inefficient process.
I went to a tire chain, got a quote that was a bit higher than Costco. I didn't like the customer area - it was cramped, old and you could see grease marks various doors...gave a bad impression. But the counter rep was friendly enough and I was able to get an appointment 8 days later. Just no hubcaps. I accepted the appointment.
Then yesterday I received a voicemail that sorry they need another day to get the steel rims...15" on a common model. So they wanted to reschedule. I understand things happen but am unhappy and am thinking of cancelling the order and going to a cleaner shop, maybe even the dealer where they are able to honour appointments. What would you advise? I should call the shop back today.
Buddy where are those photos of your username in front of something attaching you to Ontario?
