Aim for a ZEC or Réderve Faunique. I like the reserve faunique Mastigouche. Almost closer than Rouge Matawin and much different scenery/type of forest.
 
DOmaine des iles enchantés a Acton

La section des iles est pas accessible en auto, juste a vélo ou a pied et c'est assez a l'écart. On allait en vélo la c'est cool pareil et tu as acces au reste du camping. Ca peche aussi sur la riviere

je cherche plus un lac, riviere tranquille et non un site de camping. ideally a piece of land near the water where i can set a tent make a fire without a single soul nearby lol. is this even possible?

Very difficult that near from MTL.

Check maybe at ZEC Lavigne ?
