my wife's 2016 GTI - 5 door - end of lease buy back Nov 6th - $21k

Hey Guys,

My wife has 2016 GTI - 5 door - with all the trims including sunroof - cloth seats - black on black

it has 48k km on it, and the buy back is $21K

I thought of buying it back myself, buffing it out, and then selling it, but to be honest 2-3K i might make by doing this isn't worth my time and effort. I thought of buying it for my wife outright, but she's pregnant so I'm going to buy her an SUV instead.

I was just going to give it back to the dealer, but I feel like someone out there might want to take advantage of it, instead of the dealer making a heavy profit.

Car is in great running order, no mechanical problems, no accidents, a few little scratches on the bumpers from parking but those can be buffed out (no comments on women driving lol)

the car spent most of its life going from my driveway to her indoor garage (less than 10km away) and the rest of the mileage is highway as all her family lives in Qc city (we live in Montreal)

Il me semble que c'est plus compliqué que ça. Tu peut pas juste arrivé au dealer et transférer le contrat au nouvel acheteur. Aussi regarde sur ton contrat, moi sur le celui de ma R, il y a des frais de 500$, juste si je veux la racheter a la fin.

Je pense que ton meilleur pick c'est de le rapporté et dealer sur un tiguan exemple. S'il savent qu'il feront un bon profit en vendant ta GTI, il pourrait peut être te faire un bon prix.

oui tu peux arrivé au dealer avec un autre personne pis qu'il paie le buyback .. je l'ai fait sur mon ancien Jetta TDI.

Exactement, j’ai déjà vérifier avec le dealer et c’est possible sans aucun problème.

c'est quoi le prix du marché ? La mettre belle pendant un après midi et revendre 3K$ de plus , je ne sais pas ton salaire, mais je le ferais en tbk. C'est le risque de resté pogné avec et avoir 18k$ plutot que l'effort...

Ya pas aussi le fait que de l'échanger contre une véhicule neuf, le dealer charge les taxes sur le prix du char neuf, mais avec 21k$ de moins ? Genre un VW neuf à 40K%, tu va payer seulement sur le 19k$ de taxe ?
