Fuel economy on Petro 94 is awful though. You should only buy it if your engine has to run on 93+.

And all the OP was saying is a certain station was selling it for regular...I am not saying that Petro 94 is "bad". Both my GT-R and HP run on it. I am just saying that if you don't need 94 octane, this is a bad choice from a fuel economy standpoint.

This happens from time to time- they run out or regular and offer 94 for the same price- my cars don't complain.

Yup! And buying Petro 94 if you don't need it at the same price of 87 is a bad move from a fuel economy standpoint.
I know, but we have a lot of tuned guys here, and if you can save 30c a liter, why not, especially in donut season.
Are you saying that if we forget the price (same price), on a "regular car" 94 will yield less miles than 87?
