Sunwing carry on

First time travelling with Sunwing.

Do they weigh your carry on leaving from yul? They have a 5kg(11lbs) max limit and a size limit for the carry on. I have no problem with the size but my carry on suitcase must be 7-8-9lbs empty.
 
Sunwing, transat and air canada never weighed our carry ons.
I know there was a size limit, but never weight limit on carry on.
 
Yea I've never seen carry on being weighed at YUL. They will sometimes enforce size limits and allow you to gate check
