Why does Genesis keep putting out generic looking sedans, where are the SUV's? That's what sells. And for goodness sake, open a dealership if you want to be taken seriously, not a retail location in a mall with bland white walls and no décor.

Seriously... Genesis is a brand they don't know what to do with and have been flogging it for a few years. I'd be curious to see some sales numbers.

I looked into it

Sales are down apparently since they had Hyundai dealers selling them and are moving them out to separate dealerships.

And apparently two cuv’s are coming, mid size in 2020 and compact in 2021

Yet every few years we see headlines in the auto industry asking if Hyundai can do what Toyota did with Lexus in 1990. No, they can't. They've tried and failed a few times.

L'exterieur a l'air d'un char des 90'

Market too saturated now. Lexus and Infiniti entered the market at the right time

Lexus had very agressive pricing too, and a great reputation with Toyota. The LS400 was 50-60k vs 80k+ for an S class.

The Genesis G80 is 58k vs 65k for an E class, G70 is 42k, about the same as a C class. Engine upgrades are much cheaper on the Hyundai though.
