2019 plans- car version

I know the forums are quiet but in an effort to keep this one alive- I am starting a new thread to discuss new builds, upgrades and plans for 2019 regarding your car.

On my side, the EVO should be back on track after spending some quality time on Dyno Docs dyno- getting the tune right with EB Tuning. Before that, I had the boys at Atelier Bohica redo my OE fuel lines- that were suspect as well as installing twin aftermarket engine oil coolers.
The car puts out a solid 390WTQ and 410WHP so I am satisfied.
Looking to set some nice times on the track.

The M3 will need a quick look at its cooling system after a weird over heat at Mosport. Otherwise nothing really to be done aside from a new front bumper as the last one was cracked in a high speed drive by with a cone at ASE slalom.

The CTR will get a Karcepts rear sway bar as we set it up for SCCA National level AX.
The bitch- no idea- have to ask Sajan...

So who else has plans?

En 2018 sur ma civic SI 2013 j'ai installé:

-swaybar eibach arrière
-support à moteur solide
-Hankook RS3+ work cr kai(des fausses mais quand même 17lbs)
-clutch delay valve delete

gexgex- hopefully these mods will make you want to spend time at the track.
The plan looks solid and I think a bit of oversteer is not a bad thing- you just have to get used to it- but ultimately its faster.

WE HAVE TO KEEP IT ON THE TRACKS but lol whut what tracks are left to us!?!?!

My 2018 season started with hopes and dreams and were sidetracked VERY early...

Started with the Cooper S ready for MNLC but work trips and vacation dragged me to Mexico and Europe (9 weeks from May to Aug). Throw in a trans issue and I only made it to 2 autox events all summer. I didn't get to work on my other track project either. Stupid me also bought another car...

03 Cooper S
- either sell or part it out (too much going wrong at 243000 kms)

01 Miata
- my new AutoX/Lapping machine
- install Kirkey seat
- needs a cleanup and a preventative timing belt job (front main seal too)
- maybe clutch too
... and design/build a tire trailer as I may do some SCCA autox in NJ/PA.

84 GTI
- finish the caged Bunny build
- fuel system
- floor mounted Wilwood pedals
- wiring
- fabricate steering column (think DTM seating position)
- start aero parts (splitter, diffuser, etc)

Miata is taking a break next year but hopefully I can get some stuff done:

-Transmission change (rip 3rd synchro) along with a lightweight flywheel and clutch change.
-Swap the OE 4.1 with a 4.77, and rebuild the diff at the same time.
-Put a full exhaust since having a little more power would be nice, and will keep me in my class still. Should get me to 110whp or so instead of the stock <100whp.
-Some maintenance, bearing/hub change and the like.

Not sure if I'll have enough done and also have tyres to do ASE, I'll try tho... Would be nice to get a sub 1:00 before closure. For a 110whp/2200lbs car it would be cool to do I think.

Otherwise, planning to do autocross with my dad in my 18' Mazda3, it'll be real cheap so at least I'll have some track time still. 225s up front and 205s on the rear, that's it. Probably possible to win PAX, time will tell.

I am happy to see that some work is getting planned and improvements are in the works.

2019- will be a banner year for track events- so I am provoking people to get their projects started/finished, no excuses - ya know.

My goal a 1987 FORD Tempo with 325hp and a posi diff.
With a full roll cage.
4 adjustable shocks and KYB GR2

But I'm missing a few gaskets, fmic pipes and a long term place to run it.
