Jérémy Gabriel essuie un échec avec sa campagne

Les appuis financiers ont été peu nombreux pour la campagne de sociofinancement de Jérémy Gabriel, qui visait à l’aider à produire son nouvel album.

Au moment d’écrire ces lignes, le jeune homme de 22 ans n’avait amassé que 1305 $, de la part de 30 contributeurs, sur un objectif de 20 000 $. La campagne devait se terminer mardi soir.

C’est à la mi-décembre que Jérémy Gabriel avait lancé sa campagne d’une durée de trois mois, via le site La Ruche Québec. Il avait expliqué au Journal avoir décidé de faire appel au public, car la production de son nouvel album, L’adversité, était très coûteuse. Il espérait sortir le disque, constitué de matériel original, à l’automne.

Dans sa campagne, il proposait notamment aux gens le partage d’une poutine chez Ashton, un souper avec lui-même comme serveur privé et un spectacle de salon. Il a préféré ne pas commenter les résultats de sa campagne, mardi.

Par ailleurs, le Café Buade, où Jérémy Gabriel travaillait comme serveur depuis quelques années dans le Vieux-Québec, a été ravagé par un incendie la semaine dernière. Le restaurant centenaire a subi de lourds dommages et a dû fermer ses portes.

I kinda hope this makes him realize a few things? #1 being that hes not good a singing... His look/his dissability asside he wouldnt even make it as a simple studio back up vocal? The kid tries really hard but it seems like it would probably serve him best to get out of the public eye for a while.

Avoir été millionnaire, je lui aurai donné son 20K. 20K lorsque t'es millionnaire pour écoeurer la masse et faire le tourner en bourrique, c'est pas payé si cher.

Si Mike Ward avait gagné sa cause, je crois qu'il lui aurait donné juste pour un stunt publicitaire. Et ça aurait été un bon coup.

Avec la pub que le journal de montréal lui fait, il va peut être avoir d'autres dons de dernière minute.
 
With 1305$ you can get a brand new pair of JBL LSR305's, any Scarlett audio interface, a complete acoustic treatment for your room, one brand new cardioid or condenser quality home recording microphone for vocals, a few used SM57/SM58 for everything else, a really good keyboard on the used market or a MIDI controller, and the full version of Reaper along with a bunch of third party plugins to do whatever you want. I believe he already has a Fernandez guitar or a Telecaster or something and a drum kit, and used Yamaha basses are rather cheap.

So even though his goal wasn't reached, he STILL now has everything he needs to never need anyone else to produce an album for him ever, and just go on his own producing his own shit at his own pace, getting better with every release.

But he probably won't do it.
