2019 Formula 1 season official thread

That's like a week for two at an all inclusive 4+ stars beachfront hotel in Jamaica.

With the 18+ option.

The older I get the more I don't mind paying more to have some extras. I sit at the start finish line but it's real seats and close to the casino, which means a short walk to and from. I just really go for the F1 sessions now, the support races I don't really care about.

Doubtful on a price raise. Prices have not gone up in many years, I am still paying what I paid in 2013. Montreal is one of the cheaper races on the calendar and attracts lots of tourists.

The city/ various levels of the govt paid for for the new paddock. It will also be used as an event venue aside from the race like for weddings etc.

They aren't , the fees are fixed for the current term of the contract with Liberty until 2029. The city will make more money renting the place out vs F1 weekend

Bonne nouvelle alors!

Holy crap, you are indeed a superfan! For me, the start finish line is just about the worst place to look at the grand-prix - you just end-up looking at the screen all the time.

For that price, I'd head for the Goodwood Revival...

Tickets are 595$ so not that horrible and it's pretty cool seeing the pre race stuff up front. If you can do Goodwood for 600$ it would be impressive. Goodwood is on my list of things to do...

Not for $595, obviously, but you stated $2999 per person for the paddock club. That will take you to Goodwood, for sure.

@Gregster do you know why they banned carbon fiber cam covers? I'm reading about F1 engine design history (mostly Cosworth's engines) and in their transition from V10s to V8s, they had to change out their carbon fiber cam covers due to a ban, but they never go into detail as to why.

...just curious.

This might not be of much interest to many, but I got sucked into this article.
