Hi folks, did the Unifor advertisement against GM during the Superbowl affect your vehicle buying habits in any way?
I feel that if you sell here , you build here. Moreover, I feel that if you take Canadian money, then screw us, we should return
the favour. What do others feel are you inclined to buy GM ?

I wouldn't have bought a GM, one way or another. But I'd happily buy a Mexican-built car over an American-built one, so there's that.

Anyway, it's not like GM offers any affordable manual cars anyway.

Sonic out, spark caca, Colorado cher, cruze ok

I see.... When I think of Mexican cars all I think of is those

Mexican “ jumpy cars “ latinos drive

For or against the ad, you're getting played.

It's a weak sauce attempt to sway public opinion into getting GM to stick around. The only way you get a corporation to do anything these days is with generous tax breaks / loans from all levels of government.

It's not worth it.

Yep

Just yesterday GE had to pay $57M because they did not create the 1000 jobs in France they were supposed to.

$57M is much less than 1000 salaries!

If a company has to resize, it will.

My father in law goes on a GE rant once or twice a week. His office is lined with photos of Welch and Nardelli. Immelt is the devil

If you think TV commercials (or any type really) influence my opinion or buying habits you have the wrong impression of me.

Aujourd'hui:

On May 14, 2018, the Canadian federal government announced it would fall short of breaking even from the bailouts of Chrysler Group LLC and General Motors Co. by $3.5 billion.[19] On June 26, 2018, the remaining undisclosed loan amount was written off.[20] The Fraser Institute estimates the total cost to taxpayers at $3.7 billion that was never repaid

Ajoutez a cela:

The deal would extend the current contract for an additional year to September 2012, and preserves the current average assembly-worker base pay of about $34 an hour.
