That's only a problem when people veer off topic. The amount of times the contrarian position is taken up in this thread without any kind of on topic counter argument is what contributes to the diarrhea in here. And interestingly enough its always the same people quoting a hockey specific post and replying with an unrelated gif or trying to flex some misguided superiority muscle with an irrelevant knowledge bomb.
Would be cool if in 2020 people respected the subject matter of the thread they were responding in.
Back on topic:
It's crazy to me that the media is saying Claude Julien is on thin ice. Apparently he's lost the team. So Molson is going to fire a guy making $5 million that he's going to have to continue paying for through to the end of 21-22, but the guy that built the team and that hired Julien in the first place and who is making $2.5 million himself and who ultimately created this mess is worth keeping into year 8 of his tenure.
Would be fun if people argument on what actually matters too. Example: you keep bringing up salaries. What does it change to Billie Joe Bob's life if Therrien makes 5 million or 28 million? It comes out of the owner's pocket, doesn't affect cap space, doesn't affect anything related to the fans, doesn't change the performance on ice, name it. It's been done before where they fire well paid coaches but still keep hiring high paid replacements. When you talk about veering off topic, there's your perfect example.
