Considering going for a week this August. Driving through Maine and then ferry over to Yarmouth maybe stay there for a while then drive to Halifax and spend a day or two there before heading back.

Yay?

Nay?

Would be a total of like 5-6 days max.

Anyone been there/done that?

It's very quiet during the summer, being a university town.

I've been there a bunch. It fuckin sucks. Take the same time to drive the Cabot Trail.

I did the amphibian bus tour and got the see the main stuff at once. Very pretty city IMO

I would do the Fundy bay (Hopewell rocks) and Cabot trail if I were to drive that area again.

+-8h boat ride sounds nice to me, can use it as a sleep time if they do it at night and have cabins. If you are driving back through NB, I would take the West side (hwy 2) coming up, much nicer than the East. You can plan a bunch of stops through NB like the magnetic hill, the bay of fundy, saint john for fresh lobster dinner, fredericton for a boat tour, I think it was grand falls where you can go on a jet boat ride in the canyon. We had a great time spending a week in NB. We did it with a map, would be much simpler today with a GPS.

correction, the site says it's only 3.5h boat ride, that's fast!

I've spent a ton of time in the Maritimes and I love it but it's not for everyone, pretty slow paced. But there's lots of nice stuff to see.

I would say go for it. I'd check out the Mahone Bay/Lunenburg area, then you could go to Oak Island if that kind of thing interests you. Then hop over to Peggy's Cove, Cabot Trail possibly (though it's a bunch of hype IMO), Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill etc. on the way back..

Fuck off on va rouler..

-Cabot trail

I spent two days, but did some heritage trails that were basically never used. Ended up having to cut tress fallen so it was fun.

The view is nice a we rented in a rotating house so it made the experience different.

Sounds like me in NS...

Spent many a summer in PEI but now I get why my parents went. I try to go back every few years. My sister and dad go back every year

If I wanted to kick back and relax, PEI would be great. It definitely has its charm. When I went I was driving across Canada and back in 2 weeks so the pace of the trip didn't really fit with PEI.

J'irais a Shediac bien avant Saint-John. IL n'y a rien a voir a Saint-John.

approved x10000
