Bah get your deposit back and move on.
You know I was thinking about Munchy the other day and that specific thread. He has never been seen around here since that.Ça me fait pensé au thread de Munchy. Il était en beau tabarnaque parce que ses parents avaient ''réservés'' une voiture used sans mettre de dépôt. Ça tout pris pour les qualifier au crédit pour finalement apprendre qu'elle a été vendue lol.
Dealer isn't going to waste time waiting for someone to show up even if there is a deposit on the car if another person walks in with cash ready to buy right away. It's shitty I agree but a sure vs a maybe...Best advice.

Sadly lots of people arent gentlemen.Agreed, BUT.
Gentleman's agreement would have called for a phone call before they sell to someone else.
Only thing I can see is a salesman "fight" in the dealership to make their commission, aka "You don't have a 'real' deposit, fuck you, I will sell the car myself and pocket MY commission".
