Drone strike forces Saudis to cut production IN HALF - Pepper you Angus

Barrel prices went up 10% - assuming pump prices go up 10% we're looking at 1.32 for regular and probably around 1.50 for 91.

Speaking of fuel - can anyone explain to me what the market for 89 is? Who uses it? I've never seen or heard of a car "tuned" to only use 89, 91 is pretty much the norm with some more "advanced" tunes that require 93 or 94.
Why the fuck is 91 so much more expensive? Here 87 is 1.19 and 93 is 1.26

I can't say universally, but because there's no ethanol? 91>94 for some cars. In NB, the highest octane ethanol free gas is 91.

7 cent difference between regular and premium is crazy though. What is this, the 90's? It's normally like 15 cents or so no? V-Power is like 26 cents more than regular out here now.. Insane.

Only place that keeps the 91 prices "sane" has consistently been Costco where I can usually get it for < 1.30$ or within about 10¢ of regular gasoline.

Shell, at least the one in Ile Perrot - is normally closer to 1.40$. Same for Petro Canada next door to it.

That's the thing though, ethanol makes a big difference. Ethanol free Shell V Power 91 is better than 91 with ethanol, so naturally it will cost more. I'm not saying V Power isn't a rip-off though. There are plenty of ethanol free gas stations in my area whose 91 is at least 5 cents cheaper than Shell.

Not sure how accurate this is, but it only lists one ethanol free 91 octane Costco station.

I don't see a reason to get ethanol free gas - at least not in my case, it's fine in both of my turbo engines.

Thank you for contacting Costco.

Please note that there is no ethanol in premium 91 octane gasoline for all Canadian Costco warehouse locations.

Technically yes they're supposed to state that the fuel contains up to 10% ethanol. Legally in Canada, fuel has to contain an average of 5% ethanol so the stations with ethanol free premium may have higher ethanol content in the lower grades.

Like I said, I'm not sure how accurate the Pure Gas site is. I think ethanol content varies by location as well. The worst mileage I ever got in my Miata over 6 years of ownership was driving through the prairies..coincidence?

I don't know how but my local Esso is selling 93, for 1.27. I don't have a data log to see if it changes the way my car drives but I should test it. They had it for a month or so.
