About anarchy.
Anarchy means literally: No government: "Ana" (non, or opposite) and "archy" which of course is the type of governance: "monarchy" or "matriarchy" for example.
Anarchy would work well if the family nucleus were actually observed like they were in the 1950s and 60s. Back then it was unthinkable for anyone to question their parental authority, with mixed results. Some families thrived and did very well, others - that were either manipulated by an elder, or sometimes by an abusive father/mother/sibling - did poorly and raised copycat children. [edit] as I said, this had mixed results but with some tweaking or supervision (which would negate the whole anarchy thing...) it might work.
Utopia is what we should all be looking for, Star Trek - not the reboot but the original Universe - had it right in that reasoning. They alleged that by the 2200s the invention of matter to energy conversion devices (replicators, transporters) made everything available for everyone for low cost or even free.
Of course they failed to take into account the fact that even if today, or in 100, or 200 years, some genius actually designed a working model of a replicator, there would be someone else behind the scenes to destroy it because they'd lose too much money and wealth if "such tech" came out.
Think of JP Morgan vs Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower:

In the early 1900s, Tesla claimed to have invented a way to transfer "free and wireless" electrical energy from a transmitter tower to anyone with a receiver. His invention and prototype were backed financially by JP Morgan (actual person, not the firm) and when Tesla demonstrated it for M.Morgan, the latter asked him: "Where do we put the power counter?"
Tesla hadn't thought of it that way. His power was free for anyone to use, but Morgan wanted to bill people and needed a power counter to measure the consumption.
When Tesla told Morgan there wasn't a power counter and he couldn't bill the receivers as the machine wasn't built that way - Morgan pulled his funding and Tesla died bankrupt using the scrap metal from the tower to pay off part of his debts.
So there you have it. In one paragraph, the reason why never in the history of earth, while humans are here and that social wealth classes still exist, will there be a Star Trek utopia with replicators.
Because greed.
