Cannot give any advice on tires, but curious as to what can happen worst case if you're a gangster like this guy and dont care?

Downtown a few places have signs, I always entered with studs when needed and never heard any complaints but thats in and out for a few hours.

Hakka 9 crew checking in.

Best shit ever

The R3 works very well, and has better reviews that the H9- but either way you can't lose with Nokian.

I also parked my car at some public indoor parking with no concequences, but my condo is 24 unit. It would be easy to ''spot'' me and its stated that a 100$ fine may occurs.

I would keep the studs in the condo. Especially on H9. It's not like the studs are hand mounted and stick out 1/4" from the rubber at all time, quite the contrary.

R9 Studs. They are flush. Studs are a different shape on the outside vs inside

Studs are banned from all multi level parking garages because of the membrane applied to the finished concrete which prevents water seepage and subsequent water damage to the lower levels. Most condo associations will not only apply running fines, but may make you responsible for repairing the membrane if there is noticeable damage to it over time. To remove existing membrane, and lay a new application is very costly, and depending on the size will be in the thousands of dollars.

You can chance it with a garage you rarely visit, but to continue to use studs in a parking garage that has banned them for membrane reasons could be a very expensive game of chicken.

Totally Agree, not worth the hassle lol. However, I'm curious to know how tough those membranes are if a properly studded tire driven at 10km/h can damage so badly this said membranes. I would imagine anyone doing some ''moving'' inside the garages could also very likely damage the membrane.
