Event Coverage: 2020 Salon de l'auto picture thread

I'm I the only one who's loosing it seeing kids playing in the cars, running from one car to another asking people to get out of the cars so they could go in and all of this with no parents to be found?..... I saw 5 kids playing in a convertible Mercedes, WALKING on the fucking seat with their boots on, pushing the doors open on the door card with their boots, Yelling, taking pictures, then running to the next car pushing people…. No shit that car manufacturer don’t want to bring cars anymore, they have to pay 1M$ for a booth to have cars damaged because of dumb idiot who are not careful with the material… Maybe because I went on Sunday instead of a week-day as usual but this year it was terrible…..
FYI OEMs don't really care about damage. Most of the OEMs have a fleet or cars that travel to the shows. What you see on display in MTL will be on display in Toronto etc. Some don't even have VIN numbers

Went to the show today. Seemed pretty much the same as previous years. Snapped a few pics.

I dont recall seeing Audi or Tesla amongst others.

Went yesterday from 12 to 5. It was nice and quiet. The CX-30 really impressed me it seems like a great package for the price! Jeep definitely had the coolest trucks with their decked out Gladiators.

Such a shame that Audi and Volvo were't there. Anyone knows why?

I went last night. I enjoyed speaking to the reps at Porsche about the Taycan and some features they didn't even know the car had. Coffee was good too! Cayenne Coupe was pretty nice and I like how all models sorta have the same corporate dashboard layout.

Still in love with it.

Too much suv... lack of manual...not interested at all

i think i saw 2 manuals in total; Civic Si & BRZ. Event the GT86 was an autotragic. lol

honestly, for every car on display, there were 6 SUVs/CUVs. It's kinda depressing & I have no idea what I'll be replacing my car when it goes. I don't think I'll have many choices at all if I still want a sedan/hatchback/wagon car and a manual. I find it's funny how undesirable all the luxury manufacturers are and how much better all the mainstream ones have become. I actually find the new Sentra to finally have stepped up its game after all the years. Feels and looks a little nicer and gets independent rear suspension.

on the positive side, I much preferred the layout this year; you start the show right away with Acura as opposed to funneling through exotics or BS distributors.

next year, I'm bringing my son, and he is going to behave af or we're out. I have no patience for kids being disrespectful and damaging property that isn't theirs. Too many shit parents who can't be bothered to actually parent and discipline. And then we wonder why there are so many entitled adults out there.

That gt500 looks so nice. It's crazy how it and the vettes are more and more exotic looking.
