Depends on your definition of a shitbox. Any shitbox I have owned was to flip for a couple bucks. 80-500$ clean up and sell for 1500$ on average. The VW's were just fast easy flips or I parted them. The gms were just what I could afford at the time. The foxbodies were mostly boredom and because two foxbodies for 2800$ and a ton of spare parts with stuff for my project ended up being +5000$ and still paying me backmore.

I understand the majority of people here buy what they want and they are good with it. For a daily sure but as for something different I like building it to my own specs. Someone might trip on a 100$k car but I don't. I trip on the work that makes a regular car keep up to a 100$k car.

The worst car I have ever ever owned was a toss up between an 86 Hyundai Excel, 1991 Dodge Shadow or a 1992 toyota 4runner.
The excel I paid 50$ for, the shadow was my exes parents and it promptly blew up at 100km and the 4runner cost me 1200$ and was about the shittiest vehicle I ever paid money for. I was stuck with a blown engine in my vw and the guy fucked me over harder then a blind man at blackjack
