    FS or Repair project - SR27 - Lotus 7 with sr20det engine

    Je parle français aussi

This is long overdue. I’ve been putting it aside since the accident, hoping life would allow me to get back to it, but the more I way, the more I see that this is not gonna happen. So here I am, selling the SR27 at long last or if by any chance anyone wants to take over the repair project, feel free to contact me also.

For those that don’t know this car, it’s been one hell of a surprise for the 2013 time attack. Those are the last number I had for this car:

    2011 Lap times
    Mosport: 1.37.18 / Calabogie: 2:18.2 / ASE: 56.3

    2012 Lap times
    ASE: 55.5 / LCMT: 1:49.8

    2013 Lap times
    ASE: 54.14
Car is a beast, and I’m not joking, it takes a lot to be able to tame that car. I was still far from reaching the limit of this little car. Low weight, low center of gravity and massive power made this one VERY fun car to drive. Slow or fast!

Since then the car sadly had an encounter with a wall at Tremblant. So first thing first:
*** the car is in need of repair. This is not a turnkey car anymore. It will need so frame work. ***

See below for a few pictures of the needed repair. More can be made available on request.

Now for the car itself and what’s in it:
    • Custom built tube-frame Lotus 7 wide frame.
    • Plated and road-legal
    • Comes with a SR20DET rebuilt engine. Engine was rebuilt the year of the crash, it has breakin’ time + 2 track days
    • Garrett GTX2860R
    • Dyno’d at 325rwhp before the ECU + Turbo upgrade. More around 375rwhp now, but injectors are topped. And need to be changed to bigger (or higher fuel pressure)
    • ~5lbs per HP
    • AEM Series2 ECU
    • Racepack IQ3 dashboard
    • Full rollcage
    • Bride bucket seat
    • Full 6pts racing harness
    • Dual fuel tank / pump setup (Small tank for fuel starvation prevention)
    • Ohlins TTX36 suspension
    • Brembo brake with 2 pieces rotor
    • 1600 lbs w/ 52.5% rear / 47.5% front distribution
    • Drivetrain is half SR20DET and half Miata. So parts are easy to find / interchange
    • Comes with a 3 sets of wheels (one of which was on the car during the accident, those would need to be checked / replaced) 2 sets are 949 racing, the “street” set is a Panasport lightweight 2 pieces set

Car is currently stored in a warehouse in Laval, visits can be arranged for serious inquiries. Feel free to contact me by DM or at jp.belanger+sr27@gmail.com

    Thanks

(Bent and vertical tube crack at the weld)

    - Spare sets of wheels: set of 949 racing (was used with Avon) and set of Panasport (Street wheels)
    - Spare SR20DET head (if you want)
    - Spare tranny
    - Replacement Clutch Type LSD diff (was never installed)

    Je demande 25,000$

Used to be VERY difficult. Now almost impossible. They changed the rules a few years back making it stupidly complicated to get a "home made" car plated. I think in Quebec there's less than 5 plated Lotus 7 car... But home-made only 1 if I remember correctly
