My speedometer is now fixed....was missing the white 23 tooths gear (3.73) in the tranny.
3G alt swap is nowcompleted
What this picture doesn't tell is that it took two weeks and 3 belts 'cause bad measurement lol Funny how 0.50 make a huge difference in a belt (facepalm)
a 3G swap is pretty easy otherwise.
You need:
94-96 Mustang V6 alternator (its the best 'cause you can buy it new cheap for 100$ without a core via rockauto) and you don't need to reclock the casing
Summit 3G wiring kit (all wiring and connections are new)
The alternator only have two easy to reach bolt.
Trimming the alt bracket take a few minutes with a cutoff tool.
Having the correct belt help lol
You can do this on the cheap side with junkyard part
Stock alt will give you 75 amp at full power, vs 130amp for the 3G
