C’est un peu normal que l’ordre de priorités change selon la gravité de la situation non ? D’après moi y’a une différence entre du monde à la plage et d’autre qui causent des émeutes. Mais bon c’est toujours plus facile de se victimisation et chialer après les médias quand ça fitte pas avec son agenda.

You have a lot more parallels, the historic stuff colonialism and slavery, overrepresentation in the penitentiary system, the way issues flair up, and is swept under the rug every few years.

Yes, but the differences are also really significant. They're not lobbying for black representation, self governance and Nation to Nation dealings with the government. They're not trying to get reparations for the past or being more equal than equal. Being black and living in the ghetto doesn't mean you get a tax break or special hunting rights. No one is pandering to some 'hereditary leaders' whims.

Our judicial systems are nothing alike. You actually have to commit a significant enough crime to go to jail here. First Nation offenders get a special pre-sentencing report (Gladue) and incarceration is the last resort. We don't have a for profit prison system nor do we elect racist judges to serve up the special kind of justice that we favour. If anything, our judicial activism leans the other way. Punish the system/ police rather than the offender for whatever procedural transgression they can find /come up with.

First Nation offenders aren't in jail because they're First Nations, they're in jail because of the circumstances of their upbringing / poverty / domestic violence / gangs / substance abuse / lack of opportunities / education leads them too often to a dark path and crimes are committed. It's not an issue of race rather than one of being dealt a bad hand at the outset generally speaking. That's what the numbers are really saying.

Yes, we'll have seen the garbage about him having "police issue" gas mask (It's not, it's industrial) and doing this on behalf of the "police" as if this made sense.

The black bloc / anarchists don't need an excuse to fan the flames. This is shitty human nature and people being fuck heads, not some far reaching conspiracy.

But that doesn't matter, part of the game at hand is making up stories to foster even more division. That's the beauty of the internet. You can foster chaos and division from thousands of miles away.

Meh....i have no pitty for protesters. If they would have done a calm walk then ok.

But the moment they started burning down stores, robbing stuff, burning cars, doing anything unjustified, they lost my vote and cops can spray them all they to get them off the streets. Peaceful protesters can thank the savage protesters for this treatment.
