Only made the news because he's a celebrity. Otherwise would have been another overrepresented but under reported hate crime in "White Supremacist" America.

They should offer reparations. They get $50,000 to renounce their US citizenship and a one way ticket back to an African country of their choice since they're African-American after all. It's never forced, purely on a voluntary basis. Match that amount and give it to the country that accepts them and voila you have solved racism in the USA. That $100k will pay itself and then some in a few year of not paying for welfare/prison/future child benefits.

Heck open it to everyone so that it's not "racist". Feel slighted by hard work, perseverance and self reliance that once made the country great, here's your one way ticket to the socialist paradise of your choice. I'm sure those socialist would be itching to take in as many people as possible when a dollar amount is attached.

Oh and make it permanent. If they take the deal, they can only come back for temporary vacation/visit, never permanently live in the USA again.
