It is a sealant, but it's one of the most durable with good results.

Tres simple. Apply, frotte, change de microfibre et nettoye.
Exactly he mentions it. He says no in the video.
The new one , you can apply it hot weather, in the sun or not.
As always, could be advertising. If no garage, I would wait eventually for a cloudy day, or less sun at least.

J'étais tombé sur un vidéo comparatif, et le meguiar est vraiment mieux si on ne suit pas la méthode proposée wet.

It's cheap. Easy to apply, durable and enhance the gloss.
Honestly it seems like quite a bit of hype.
I would seriously question if CSC lasts one year, especially through our Canadian winters. It honestly looks more like a sealant than a proper durable ceramic coating.
As far as I know, the real king of sealants still is Jescar Power Lock Plus, but it isn't a spray sealant, you have to apply it by hand.

Most people I know recommend you put a top layer of Collinite 845 wax on top as a sacrificial layer that adds insane gloss.

I personally have never used this combination, but this is literally recommended everywhere.
What I personally like to use as a spray sealant is GTechniq C2v3. It also is a Si02 spray sealant that has really insane gloss and durability. I put it on everything, paint, wheels, front windscreen. It holds up really well in the summer and pretty decently in the winter. But most of all it is super fast to apply and looks incredible.

15 minutes pour les roues
15 minutes pour laver
5 minutes pour rincer
20 minutes pour l'intérieur. Les sièges en cuir ça aide. Le reste c'est passer un linge et l'aspirateur
1 heure facile mais ma voiture est pratiquement toujours propre. Day to day c'est le lavage automatique pour 25$ mensuel a volonté. Le weekend je la lave au besoin. L'élément déclencheur c'est les mags qui se salissent à cause de la poussière de frein intense. C'est pourquoi j'aime le Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax, tu l'appliques avant de sécher et tu rinces au laveur à pression. Ça prend moins de 5 minutes.

Dude, you can't even compare those paint sealant to a ceramic infused wax. Paint sealant are old tech, they don't provide the same amount of gloss, they take time to apply but most important, they don't resist chemicals. The number of car wash will directly affect the longevity. Ceramic spray have none of those weakness. GTechniq C2v3 is the equivalant of Meguiars Hybric ceramic wax and Turtle Wax Ice seal n shine. The difference is GTechniq is $10 more expensive. This is the future...

Un lavage normal juste extérieur c'est 2h, si je fais claybar, c'est 3h, avec un scellant 3.5h.
J'ai fait le SportWagen l'autre jour, lavage, décontamination et scellant, ça pris 5h, l'auto avait beaucoup de sève et ça a été long a tout enlever
Je suis trop têteux pour le lavage automatique, je suis jamais satisfait des résultats en plus que les produits utilisés (savon non neutre) endommage les coatings et scellants.
Et les journées de piste 4-5 fois par été, ça te sali un auto sur un moyen temps, ça demande un lavage en profondeur!
