Incendie à Lachine

Unsure Verdun is a shithole. A proper house is touching 7 figures and Wellington cleaned up nicely. Things just take time. Suburbria works for most I guess

Honestly Verdun is super nice, you're never more than a few blocks from the waterfront. Wellington is cleaning up very nice, good concentration of businesses, parking isn't atrocious.

Wellington to me feels like Notre-dame (the little burgundy section) 10 years ago.

va ce le dire. Entre lasalle Verdu et lachine.

Lachine 1 Verdu en suite. Lasalle c est quand tu est le moindrement proche du bord de leau il y a 1 million lumiere avant arriver a une autoroute.
c est bien trop long.

Lachine tu es jamais bien loin d une sortie auto route.

Spiff peut nous le dire son avenu est loin la 32. et la 1e et meme la c est pas si pire.

Getting on the 20 at 1st Ave can be annoying in the am sometimes.

I lived 25 years there, a lot of people I grew with still live around, it's a crackhead emporium. Same drug dealers run from 12-1am.

Verdun me fait penser à Hochelaga. En plus petit et généralement moins trash.

J’avais une amie à Verdun et les constatations que j’ai pu faire, c’est qu’à part sur Wellington c’est hyper tranquille et aussi que tout est sûrement fait en carton vu la quantité de feux qu’il y a.

It's sorta funny when the power went out immediately thought "must be a fire" Growing up on Le Plateau before the property values went through the roof. Lots of nice row houses were lost.

Verdun is decent until you hit the avenues. Stay away from boulevard lasalle as soon as you enter, it's a shit hole as well. Once you pass de l'eglise it gets nicer. Bannantyne is nice as well but in between 3rd and 5th avenue.

You can't really say the west island or laval (maybe some small areas) is a shithole

a shithole to me is when you have visible crackheads/drug addicts/escorts that your kids can visibly see on a daily

the west/laval has its issues, and verdun/lasalle/lachine have their issues as well.... but once you start having kids, the problems from the west/laval become insignificant

remember, if your kids go to a public school, they end up bringing some of those crackhead parents kids home with them as friends

not saying all the parents in the west are amazing and great, but I'll take my chances

that's why we sold in LaSalle and bought in DDO

I grew up in Lasalle myself till I was 16 before we moved to the west

To your point though, it'll change with time, but never in a million years would I have the patience of just saying "Ya my tires got slashed... oh well...."

As for Ville St Pierre, LOL! we have a distant friend that bought there with his wife and twins (two little girls)... I told my wife WTF hasn't he just driven around before buying?!? 12 months later, SOLD

VSP could be good only for investment purpose. I has to eventually get developped and all the bs and crackheads will migrate further from the city.

But to live there fuuuuck that lol

West islanders triggered and acting all high post. I'll stay in the ghetto vs having to drive on St Jeans. Only place we would ever consider is Pointe Claire Village.

There's that, and there's also proximity and convenience. There is a store for pretty much any item you could think of within 1-2 blocks.
I lived in lasalle for a couple of years as well, and it's fine for when you're a student and couldn't give a fuck about your neighbors, but when you start raising children, you want to put them in the best environment that's within your capacity.
That being said, I'll take anything West of Sources BLVD over any other borough of Montreal.

Lachine is soo ugly and a shithole unless its by the water
