Les coûts de construction de cette station du REM, qui doit être érigée à 35 mètres sous l’aérogare, pourraient friser les 600 millions de dollars, selon une récente estimation. La station fait aussi partie d’un chantier plus vaste de 2,5 milliards de dollars qui vise à améliorer l’ensemble des accès à l’aéroport – un chantier qui a été en grande partie mis sur pause à cause de la pandémie.

0 surprised, they were already broke and looking at every way possible to reduce the cost of the station before Covid.
 
On s'entend que le projet du REM est totalement inutile sans un lien direct à l'aéroport.

Criss de province avec une vision des années 50. Avoir une aéroport international avec un accès restreint sans lien direct avec un transport rapide outre l'autobus et le char

Anyway les travaux ont déjà commencé je crois. Ils laisseront pas le stock en décrépitude sur place comme ils ont fait avec l’îlot Voyageur

That's false the big push for REM was to connect the western end of the island the south shore properly to Montreal and vice versa. The station is a just a drawing at this point and the feds will offer a loan gaurentee. The media has hated REM since day one and will find anything to shit on it. The airport station and proposed Dorval station are just added bonuses but ironically one of the most expensive sections to construct

it would be a disgrace to not have the airport linked properly to downtown.. the 747 line is a joke.

Oui et non, ça reste que l'attrait #1 du REM sera son point d'entrée vers l'aéroport. C'est un peu sa carte postale.

On ne vivra pas toujours à l'époque Covid, d'ici quelques années, les gens recommenceront à voyager par affaire ou par loisir et les touristes internationaux reviendront petit à petit et n'auront pas a débourser 60$ de taxi puant pour se rendre à leur hotel.

On est juste 50 ans en retard

Sans même hésiter. Malheureusement, Laval n'aura pas de REM.

Rien de plus plaisant de ne pas laisser son char 1-2 semaines dans le parking louche de l'aéroport et de ne pas me faire chier à être pris dans le trafique de l'A13 si je dois aller prendre mon vol en AM

Encore là, ce sera d'avantage pour les touristes que pour les locaux

Nope airport was never No.1 it was South Shore MTL. Airport was added on towards the end of the call to tenders. The station will happen at the airport calm the fuck down.

Laval needs more orange line stops that could possibly connect rem via closing the loop. It could happen with the TBM for the garage project being there

The problem is that the station is to be located directly beneath the elevated parking structure. If I remember the proposed construction involved closing and tearing down the existing parking lot (to make way for a bigger dropoff and pickup area) in order to build the station. So even if the government comes in and wants to pay for just the station it inevitably has to also pay for all the other shit surrounding it.

The new parking garage is already being built... while we might not get the complete project involving the 2nd temrinal the station will happen

Metons qu'on prend le tarif de 45$ fixe. C'est 13 333 333 de ride.
Je me demande combien de temps ça prendrais

Edit: J'ai calculer 1500 ride par jour c'est 24 ans
