So I'm doing some renos in my garage (1960s house, garage in the basement, cinder block/concrete walls all around). After taking out the old cabinetry, I discovered where the electricity comes from. None of the walls have insulation or giprock, so wiring in the garage runs exposed along the ceiling and cinder block. It passed inspection, so I guess that by itself isn't so bad, but wtf am I supposed to do here:
Those are interior walls. The red wire is 240V which I'm happy to remove. The old owner had a 240v heater in here.
Follow-up: if you know a good electrician in Laval, I may need his number.
