Question conseiller financier

Lol some of u guys are funny!

From experience, 98% of people that do shit themselves fail miserably and leave money on the table! They get pulled in by 0% management fees and what not...but like anything else, u gotta pay to play! Management fees Is money well spent! You pay for a service!

In your case, since u don't know much you should do a little bit of research but don't break ur head. Focus on ur risk tolerance and timeframe of ur investment! A good financial consultant will lead u thru everything! Eventually like Lion said, when u have a little more you can go towards wealth management and have an actual financial planner, but if ur making 100k a year, most financial planners will take you regardless of how much u have right now....or depending on the financial institutions!

Just like in any other business u have some that are good and some that are not so good! I tend to stay away from independant advisors as they work on commission and would do anything for a buck....that's my personal and professional opinion having worked with more then a couple, and realizing that they had no clue wtf they were talking about! But doesn't mean some aren't really good! Start by talking with the Desjardins advisor and see how it goes and take it from there!

I think it's worth investing time to learn. Some may never succeed, but ultimately, it's worth the try.

There you go.
