Toronto man has to pay $50k/month to ex, no kids, no home, never married.

I was getting flabbergasted at "infinite payments" but seems it is/should be capped at 10 years, that makes more sense.

I understand she lived on his money (no job) and lavishly, but getting payment for life at $50k per month is outrageous for a 14 year relationship...

She also rejected multiple marriage contract drafts. Seems she was in it for the money all along.

Getting anything is outrageous... They're not married and not living under the same roof. They have sex and hang out... He was just her sugardaddy and she was the sugarbaby...

Well they were engaged, lived together two extended periods of the year, etc.

I don't agree they were just "dating", but the fact she refused all marriage contract offers should have been a red warning light that she was in for the money.

She is still a full grown adult woman fully able to sustain herself. Ok, she quit her job. She needs some time to get back in the game. But $50k a month, for ten years?? She doesn't even have to pay rent/mortgage.
 
L'ironie dans tout ca c'est que le gars a surement fait tres attention pour pas avoir de probleme. S'assurer que la femme ne vit pas avec, pas de mariage, pas de kids...et il s'est fait fourré quand meme...

Ouf si ça avait passé Lola et Laliberté on verrait des histoires comme ça sans fin au Québec... c’est complètement absurde le message que ça envoie aux filles, c’est carrément une incitation à devenir trophy wife. Je vais créer une app et un service de concierge pour les hommes, être certain qu’ils flushent la gold digger avant le 3 ans de la loi. Un peu comme le service de leasing chez Scotti, tu changes de bebelles aux 24 mois et tu as un contrat ouvert en plus!
 
Dans le combat pour legalité des femmes, je trouve ces histoires completement aberrantes. ca envoie carrement le message que les femmes sont pas capables de subvenir a leurs besoins sans les hommes, desole mais cest sa le message.

Je me suis toujours demandé, si le gars paye X$ par mois pour une pension suite à un divorce, et-ce que c'est toujours valide si la fille se retrouve un chum/mari plus tard?!?

Ou est-ce que tu continue de la feeder pendant qu'elle s'est marié avec un docteur de l'autre côté?!?

Si je me trompe pas, Oui tu payes pareil, tant que tes enfants sont pas majeurs. C'est absolument ridicule honnêtement
