About fucking time!!!

60% of the reason why I moved back on island was that section of the 40 and the bridge. Glad I did.. traffic starts at 3pm FFS. I've been on road tests and got caught in the mess.

I remember hearing it in 2006 hearing they would fix the 40.... The east bound side is actually the worst. That patch in the left lane just after abbott , the hump just before.

Eastbound in the bend just after the bridge to Abbott, put your left wheels almost on the shoulder and you should mostly avoid the "rumble strips".

As for the humps (multiple spots), nothing can be done about that if you're not able to get out of that specific lane. They might as well just install a speed bump sign.

WOW! I wasn't sure if it was the spot I thought of as I read that, but your 1st pic confirmed it is indeed. Wasn't that patch repaved last year? This year it seems 10x worst

With my golf R on coil every morning I had the impression I was going to see a shock pass throught the hood.

Don't know how recent the patch job you're talking about was but that Streetview is from November last year and having just passed by yesterday, it's still pretty BAD. If they did do any work, it doesn't show at all.

Pretty much. I try to drive in the middle lane as much as possible but people drive too slow. Bad roads are less painful than driving slow, at least for me. Plus that trick I mention really helps limit the bumpiness.

That left lane life. I'm always stuck behind someone at that specific place, they must be thinking I'm in a hurry to pass them when I take the left shoulder to avoid that world war II landmine.

Reconstruction du pont d’étagement du boulevard des Galeries-d’Anjou, au-dessus de l’autoroute 40 ;

Same reasoning I bounced. Poor urban planning , piss poor actually. Constant traffic and constant emergency work on the bridge. I guess if you got kids it's a good place to live. My sister loves it... For me I'm much happier being in the city

St Charles overpass at Cite Des Jeunes is still a massive bottleneck that clogs up... How about the exit for Cite Des Jeunes from the 30? Backs up onto the highway...

The biggest issue by far was PassatDub being nearby

^^

You almost make it seem like there isn’t any traffic on the island

Let’s be fair, half of the island is as horrible as the worst part of the 40 you can find in Vaudreuil...

C'etait mal plané a l'installation.
