Soooooo
With prices of vehicles continuing to sky rocket, imminent switch to electric, gas prices at 1.80 for regular and lease interest rates nearing 7.7% (Jeep lol), what's your take on what car to snitch now before it becomes obsolete/impossible to order/federal incentives drop?
- Gas: they will disappear. And I think it's a good time to get an exclusive car you've always wanted before they're gone. Right now it's regular cars (Porsches and such will stay as a sports exotic, but not for long I think)
- Hybrid: honestly in my humble opinion, the worst, stupidest decision you could make. Like the premium you will pay for a hybrid will roughly equal the savings you will have in gas so what the fuck is the point. Never understood this and never will.
- Plug-in hybrid: I've warmed up to this a lot. Most of us drive less than 40kms daily so you could literally spend no gas in your day to day commute and do it in silence. Then when you wanna fuck off on a road trip, you have the benefit of fuel savings because you're hybrid in start-stop situations, but you can also go far because you have an IC engine.
- Electric: I'm not fully sold on electric still, just because range and availability of chargers where you want them. Then again, if you have one electric car and one gas or plug in hybrid car, you should be covered because like I said above, most of us drive 40kms/day. Then when you factor in that a tankfull is 100$-150$/week on average nowdays, you could have an almost free tesla for that money... that's without factoring in maintenance costs and oil changes.
What about you?
P.S. I kinda like Wrangler 4xe lol, but 7.7 interest on a lease leaves no room for that option: financing only.
