What did you do to your VW/Audi today?

t'as réussi à retourner tes coilovers?

Figured id share my diesel gate experience here thus far:

Took the a6 to Audi back in September to identify the cause of a oil leak between the engine and trans(I was suspecting the rear crank seal or a timing cover)..turned out its the rear main seal. The service advisor I got is apparently known by a few people at that dealer to be terrible(lucky me). He refused to even try to get it covered under the warranty and basically told me to get lost without consulting the warranty specialist or anyone else.

I made a claim through Audi Canada over the phone, but I come to find out that they basically get in touch with the dealer and go with whatever the dealer says...which they ended up refusing again. This got me triggered because I was not given a reason to why it was refused when I know for a fact many people get this covered and the crank seals are covered under the portion of the "engine long block".

back to the drawing board...did some more researching and asking around on the TDI pages on Facebook and was able to get my hands on the dealer only provided parts list for my exact car. Service number 1359 : crankshaft oil seal (flywheel end)…bingo
I give a call back to Audi Canada with this new proof and explain the situation and state that there must be a mistake on their end regarding the decision to not cover me. They requested I go back to the dealer with my document and ask them to review again, as it should be covered if it is on that list *contract* .
I did that a couple days ago and I am expecting to hear back from the dealer any day now. I specifically requested for another service adviser and he actually summitted a request to the warranty department(which the original adviser never did or attempted to do).

I look forward to see what answer they get back to me with *fingers crossed they don't make this difficult for me* .

side note: I was surprised on how uninformed the Audi Canada people are on all of this and how little information the dealer has or knows. On the flip side I can only imagine that there are not that many owners that push for things like this or even notice them.

FYI I also have a copy of the 2013-14 Touareg physical covered parts list document and also for A6, A7 & Q5 if anyone needs

tough luck!
I would like to see it. The most common expensive failure is HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) which basically call for a new long bloc.

I am working on importing a 4.2 TDI; engine, transmission, ECM, TCM, central diff, etc...

Which dealer?

Go see Mohamed Amal... he's my advisor and he's solid.
That's who I was given when I asked to deal with a new advisor on my 2nd visit. Yeah he was super chill and got the request for warranty submitted for me with his other colleague.

Other old guy I had before was just horrible
