People still can't comprehend the dichotomy but it's very clear.
That's pretty much the problem right there. The world is full of nuances but politicians try to dumb it down to black/white or left/right good/evil.
The dichotomy is of their own doing and it's by design.
Once they get you on "their side", they need to "lock you down" so you stay there. I can't believe people would advocate for more dichotomy. People need less blinders, not more.
Any social media (private company) should have the complete right to operate their site as they wish. HOWEVER if they make the claim of being an open and unbiased platform for anyone to speak their mind, they cannot maintain that position while banning/editorialize people. It's not a question of free speech, it's a question of not being a two-faced piece of shit company who puts on a facade to look good then act dictatorial when it suits them.
Twitter is free to use. They're a business and they're in control.
Don't like it? Don't use it. Isn't that a bit like the famous tag line " America, love it or leave it?"
Sounds like someone trying to have their cake and eat it too. If you don't like it, leave it.
No one has an inherent right to a safe space on the internet on a platform they don't own.
Trump trying to act as if he can't get his message out. He's got a full blown propaganda outfit at his disposal (ie the white house) with a press secretary and staffers. He's Goliath, he's no underdog.
His problem is that he spent the last 4 years trying to undermine traditional media as he thought he'd have the upper hand in the digital realm.
Well, you never built or owned that platform and you took it for granted is what happened... and yeah, the last couple months haven't been so great and you don't have many "good stories" for the botnets to spread...
Trying to legislate to regulate the internet. Sounds like what the Democrats would do... Yeah, I'm sure republican are ALL ABOUT more legislation and restrictions on what people and corporations can / cannot do.
Republicans couldn't give two shits about net neutrality a little while back because the private corporations somehow knew best. Funny how things change...
Trump will wake up in a pissy mood every day where the polls have him trailing Biden (which is likely from this day on to the elections) He's going to have to pull some pretty aggressive moves to turn that momentum around. The next couple months could be pretty wild.
