Denis Coderre Out, Valérie Plante In.

The media did a good job pushing her candidacy and proved to have bet on the right candidate.

Can't wait to be able to take the metro to Montreal noir.

I'll also be putting my car up for sale before they are banned from the island for the sake of cyclist safety.

Yup PM is QS and NDP base. Sue Montgommery than won NDG-CDN Mayoral race ran for that seat in the federal election for the NDP.

I wonder how long before the we hear about up coming projects that are going to be killed off to finance gods knows what. I'm pretty certain we were heading towards later hours of bars, given that the city was just given that right from the QC government but there's no way in hell the NIMBISM that runs PM is going to go along with that.

LOL just saw Elsie Lefebvre lost in Villeray to her PM opponent, she's a hardcore lefty. Just goes to show the voters don't know what they're voting for just what they are voting against.

The new line will never get built. 10 billion+ dollars don't grow on trees. Especially for a new mayor like Laplante who has ZERO political leverage. She'll get shut down by the federal government really quick.

On top of that, she'll probably shut down some of the major pavement works that were taking place. So the infrastructure will go back to the Tremblay era. For all the shit Coderre has been given, I'm glad that he took the step forward with some of the shitty roads. Plenty of roads in my neighborhood were fixed lately: Acadie, Henri Bourassa, Salaberry, etc while the past administrations didn't want shit to do with them. Well, you can forget about with Laplante. She obviously doesn't give a shit about car riders and will gladly shut down major works just so she can deliver on her promesses. And well, our cars' suspensions will gladly pay the price!

tl;dr For all the pretty promises she's made, she won't be able to deliver on most of them. And this city will continue its downfall in terms of debt just so Ms. can deliver some of her vows. Dark times ahead.
