MR Member “ThePapi” has posted pictures of a Porsche he came across while walking through a forest in the Lachute area. The car has been identified by other members as a 924 model Porsche.
The Porsche 924 was built from 1976 to 1988 and features a front-mounted, water cooled, inline four cylinder motor with a 2.0-litre or 2.5-litre displacement. A Turbo model was available from 1978-1982 in North America.
This particular one is in very bad shape and has obviously been sitting for years, if not decades. The vehicle is probably too far gone to be worth a restoration effort. Even a mint condition Porsche 924 is only worth around $5,000-$10,000. Despite this, the members have started a Kickstarter project in order to try to raise $5000 to restore the car.
