Châteauguay Police held a press conference where their new pressure tactic uniform was unveiled. Seeking to one-up the SPVM with their red baseball caps and camouflage pants, the South Shore community’s police force will now be donning cowboy–style hats.
The tactics are a protest against Bill 3 which changes the rules for pension fund contributions of municipal workers including police and firefighters. The legislation was introduced in June in an effort to curb pension plan deficits which total $4 billion for the province.
