Ford has done full track mode with the Shelby GT350R after the GT350 received only a luke-warm reception from performance enthusiasts.
They saved 60 kilograms by removing the air conditioning unit, the radio, the rear seats, the trunk’s padding and carpet, the backup camera and the spare tire. The suspension is harsher and the aero package serves to keep the car firmly on the ground.
The GT350R launches this summer.
