BMW has taken the wraps off of the new 2016 3 Series “facelift” or LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) mid-cycle update.
We use the term « facelift » but for the most part, the exterior will remain exactly the same which is a departure from previous LCIs. The only differences are the headlights and taillights which have been updated and will ditch the incandescent bulbs for LED (which should have been the case in the older model).
A new model called the 340 will replace the 335 and comes with an all-new 3.0L inline six-cylinder turbo engine making 320 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. A new 330e plug-in hybrid will be offered with a 36 kilometer all-electric range.
There are a variety of new features and options and the best place to read them in more detail is this page Bimmerpost. For a direct visual comparison read this page also from Bimmerpost.
