The 75th Edition of the Montreal International Auto Show Opens Next Week!

The 75th edition of Montreal’s auto show will open its doors next Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Palais des Congrès in downtown Montreal. For the past fifteen years MontrealRacing has been attending and documenting the show because it’s really the most unique automobile event in the province.

Every automaker will be on display on multiple floors of the beautiful Palais des Congrès convention centre with vehicles for the public to sit in and try out. In addition to the automaker displays the show also features attractions such as:

Virtual Reality  

Virtual reality activities and experiences have been increasing among exhibitors. The MIAS attendees will have various experiences throughout the show, from driving to racing games. A world of discovery awaits attendees.

Technology  

For a second year in a row, Denis Talbot, expert techie, will be joining forces with the MIAS’ spokesperson Bertrand Godin, to talk about new debuts at the show, current and future car technologies shaping the automotive industry, connectivity, gadgets and much more.  

Performance Zone

The Performance Zone is a resounding success among modified car fans. It spans two rooms brimming with close to 25 extraordinary vehicles and supercharged energy. This year, one of the rooms will feature a 75th edition decor marking the history and trends of car tuning. 

CAA‐Québec Electric Test Drives

Once again, MIAS offers the opportunity to experience, free of charge, electric and hybrid vehicle test drives. This activity is organized in collaboration with CAA‐Québec to help Quebecers embrace all the technological advances of EVs, more than 9 models are available  ‐  Schedule from January 19 to 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Also, more than 40 EVs, hybrid and plug‐in hybrids are on display throughout the 3 levels of the Auto Show.  

Contests

MIAS in collaboration with Mitsubishi is proud to announce the prize for its 2018 Contest: A Mitsubishi Outlander Plug‐in Hybrid, AWD sport utility. Attendees can sign‐up to win the exceptional vehicle –  valued at $44,000 – including a Charge Point charging station and its installation. The draw will take place on Sunday, January 28, at 6 p.m.
