objectif- 1 faire tous les évènement. 2- battre mon temps de l'an passé en rwd street 3- comme d'habitude avoir bien du fun avec la gang :)
 
No tires come in 265 36 18

Throw on 275 NT01. The 10mm isn't going to make too much of a difference.

The A048 and R888 get greasy after a few laps.

Évite les A048, j'en ai eu 2 sets et ça résiste pas à la chaleur, tu fais pas beaucoup de heat cycle avant qu'il ne grip plus...

Pour la différence entre la grip des pneus street et mod (avec des pneus comme les RS3 et autres), je vois pas l'avantage de rouler en mod. En plus, il risque d'avoir pas mal plus de compétition intéressante en RWD street.

Moi j'ai un set de Rs3 et Hoosier R6. Entre les 2, je trouve que ça vaut juste pas la peine.

Si il y a personne en RWD race ou qu'on est juste moi et Shiva, je risque de switcher à RWD street. Je vais voir au premier TA le matin même.

Does it matter? You only need 1 fast lap in Time Attack. It's not a sprint race or enduro.

I think for Max it was a suspension clearance issue, but I could be wrong. He knew I was running 275/35/18 and we had that discussion last summer.

Max, based on the feedback here, definitely go A048s for the TAs. ;)

C'est un très bon set-up ça. C'est quoi la différence de temps entre tes R6, et RS3 ?

Indeed, front strut clearance is an issue. A048 or RS3... What about you? Mod or Street? I know you have both tires!

Max, les A048 c'est un pneu qui commence à avoir de l'âge et même quand il est sorti c'était pas aussi performant qu'un PSC genre. Si tu les surchauffe une fois, ça devient dur comme de la roche et ça grip autant qu'un pneu d'hiver...

J'ai pas chronométré mes temps avec mes RS3 l'an dernier mais Carl/BBQMAN pourrait bien te répondre la-dessus car il utilises les R6 et RS3 à ASE régulièrement sur son EVO. Je dirais vite comme ça environ un 2 secondes de différence. Et entre un RS3 et un R-compound peut-être 0.5/1secondes. Ça dépend toujours de tes ajustements de suspension, pression de pneus , ...

Si tu veux rouler en street et que tu cherches des pneus, j'ai 4x Bridgestones RE11 265/35r18 avec 50% de thread left que je peux vendre pour 400$.

Pour ton strut clearance, tu peux mettre un spacer de 3 ou 5mm pour t'aider. C'est quoi les roues/offset et struts?

I was just kidding about the A048s, I need to find a way to slow you down! ;) We have to find a way to fit NT01s on your car. I say we both go widebody! :D

So far for me, Carl's advice has been spot-on. Unofficially my NT01s gave me 58.0 and my RS3s gave me 58.5 in the colder weather. Not much difference there at all.

I'm done with any kind of speciality tires. If I'm going to spend the money, I want tires that will give almost the same grip from the time I put them on until the time they cord, and with an operating pressure range that doesn't have you pitting in every 3 laps. Right now I have no intention of ever buying race tires (never say never of course).

If I do participate in the TAs, it would most likely be in street given how good the RS3s were last year. But like I said, those 58s were in colder weather as I bought them just before the MOSPORT trip and the TAs will be primarily be during the warm summer months.

If you don't do anything about the clearance issue, I would suggest you buy the RS3s.

Mes Starspecs me donnais un feeling de tire d'hiver aussi, lol pas super...

Merci pour l'offre, mais si je roule en street, ce serais avec des RS3.

J'ai 9.5 ET 35 avec des spacers de 10mm en avant. Le problème est mes coilovers Tein SSP .

You are going to hate all 3 of those tires.
A048 becomes a hockey puck after several cycles, the R888 wears really bad and is tough to set up right, and the PSC are not forgiving and have limited wet abilities- and all are really expensive....
NT01 275 35 r18 is the BMW choice for r compounds..

Does BFGoodrich offer the g-Force Rival in that size? Could be something good / new / different to try.
