Buying a car / SAAQ question

So I found my new car and left the deposit.

Next step is to sign it over at the SAAQ... However the owner is quite busy.

(And I think some can understand that I am dying to get my car now and not the weekend)

If he agrees, can I pick up the car and registration and go to the SAAQ alone to get it done ?
Then bring him his plate at night ?
