Can you observe silence in municipal court .... or is that just for criminal matters

Can you observe silence in municipal court on code de securite routiere infractions, or that only applicable in criminal court? Meaning when the city prosecutor tries to put words in my mouth in municipal court can I stay quiet , and can the judge force me to answer ?
