So Nissan and Toyota. Corolla, Camry, Sentra, Tercel, etc Mostly what everyone is saying, except that Tsi or 240sx.
Huydai (I never know how to spell that) they're cheap, will get you from A to B and pretty recent.
Forget Kia. American cars are arguable... never had one so I can't say but Cavaliers/Sunfires are pretty inexpensive and seemingly reliable.

You want a reliable one and not a fast car anyway, trust me on that. Learn to drive, the rest will come in time.

Tu peux y aller avec une japonaise, c'est fiable et facilement trouvable. Malgré ça, moi mon premier char a été une Saturn SL2 1992 et elle a duré 4 ans en étant très fiable et elle clanchait les Civic

En plus, les Saturn c'est en plastique, alors ça parait pas quand ça rouille. Assure-toi d'avoir une twin cam pour que ça avance un peu...

2 conseils: achète d'un particulier à ce prix là, sinon tu vas te ramasser avec une vidange qui vaut 500$ payée 2000$ dans un garage. Ensuite, fais-la inspecter!

Toyotas dont tend to have price variations, especially the economic ones--> ie corolla, tercel, older camrys. there not "in demand". Hondas on the other hand...

and a note for civics: Kids in Civics = extra police attention + higher insurance rates on average.

Dequoi qui "marche" pour 2000 ?
C'est se tirer dans le pied.. Soit que le body va être pourrie ou que le char est entrain de tomber en ruine et que les pièces vont lui lacher. Pas fort de lui suggèrer des Talons ou whatever.

Entk, si je serais toi j'irais pour un char typiquement économique: Corolla, Tercel, Accent, Civic, Cavalier, Focus etc.
