My friend Lee has a 1980 Buick Regal 4.3. He and I agree that it's got to be the crappiest V-8 (maybe ENGINE, period) of all time!

120 bhp, no torque whatsever.

Enough said.

Comment A LA 318:

Wow. That was a usless commment! keep it to yourself next time!

Lee's engine is not bad at all... it suits the car AND driver very well. So you take it back or I'll beat you with a torque wrench... yourse to be specific.

Frank, that was harsh! Lee even admits the Regal's wussy. He wants to Buick-ify it, anyway, and get rid of the Buiack engine!

But, I digress. That is one seriously cool car, nonetheless!

I hereby renounce anything bad I've ever said about Lee's Regal, and anything I will say about it in the future! <g>

The worst V8's were the ones with 2bbl. carb., very inefficient, and little power. Just about all Buick/Pontiac blocks sucked, Olds ran very cool so they were very reliable without gasket leaks, and the Chevy305 was probably only decent 2 bbl. engine. Basically, if it doesn have a 4 bbl., it sucked.
