My aunt knows nothing of cars so she asked me to do a little research for her...

Don't buy it. The car is never the same after a major accident. In the lemon-aid book for used cars a '95 626 is worth (if I remember correctly) $5500 for a good cond. and $4500 for a bad condition car. I would bargain it down and if he's willing to sell for $1000 below what he's asking, forget it... it's a lemon.
