Vous connaissez la Z1 ?

Hier, sur l'autoroute 15 nord a la hauteur de St-Antoine vers 17h30, je suivais une BMW Z1 bleue foncée/noire 1990 environ. C'est assez impressionnant a voir ce char la, qui est si rare ici, en fait c'est la premiere fois que j'en voyais une. Tres beau look , qui est encore tres actuel. Si vous connaissez pas ce modele, c'est le précurseur de la Z3, qui n'a pas été importé em amérique. Les portes sont spéciale: elle s'ouvre vers le bas (juste la moitié de la hauteur d'une porte normale) la partie supérieur rentre a l'intérieur de la partie inférieure, ce qui fait qu'on peut rouler avec les portes ouvertes. J'ai entendu dire qu'il y en avait qu'une seule au canada (en amérique ? ) et que c'était le président de Québekson qui l'avait importée.

Jpense que jen ait vue une a mtl (sur le metropolitain) mais etait noir etait vraiment debile comme char !!

theres a few around here, when the BMW dealer opened in Kirkland(years ago) they had one in the showroom. Its a cute little car but isnt that great on performance. Its uses a E30 318 platform I think. Definitely has high "coolness" factor though.

Noire? ca doit etre la meme. Mais je sais que ce modele n'a jamais été officiellement vendu ici.

First ones were out in '87. They are based on the E30 platform, and have the running gear (plus special rear suspension) from the 325i. Rarest ones are yellow. Nice car, and an unusually smooth design for the eighties.

They are indeed 6-cyl cars. They're also highly saught-after collector's pieces, and it'd be a shame to see someone de-virginize it by taking the original engine out (for the sake of having a car with matching numbers). Mind you, Alpina, Hartge, Schnitzer, Hamann, Weismann, or maybe even M had either made cars, or had planned to (as would probably be the case for BMW M, since they always do what you're hoping they will, but almost never producing. A good example of this would be the Compact M3, which were prototypes for both E36 and E46.)
