Ford rotors and drums interchangeable?

Is a Windstar 2001 use the same rotors and drums as a 1992 Mercury Sable?

It might be possible since the Windstar is essentially a Taurus/Sable. keep in mind there where at least two size differences in front discs during the Taurus/Sable's run (I think they got bigger front brakes in '94).

The windstar Being newer and possibly heavier, may have the bigger front rotors then the ones on your '92.

Best thing to do if you haven't already, call Ford parts for a cross-reference.

bolt pattern is the same but rotor diameter is bigger for the windstar so it will not clear the brake carrier.

Did you check the discs reference number for a '94+ Taurus' too?
