Whats Better GT2540 or GT3040?

which one is the best for HP and acceleration ....

GT2040 should spool sooner, the GT30 has higher flow but you will lag more.

GT30 > GT25 > GT20

Max power capability:

GT30 > GT25 > GT20

I missed the part where you specify for which engine that turbo is.

Engine type is irrelevant, you can use a cartridge for a T2 or T3 flange manifold if your turbo is built-to-order. The following turbo's are the easiest to install and also come with and internally wastegated, ratings are for MAX HP output:

T25 (S13 stock turbo)~250WHP
T28 (S14 stock turbo)~280WHP
T28 BB (S15 stock ballbearing turbo) ~300WHP
GT28R (same as S15 but this is a Garrett brand model)~300WHP
GT28RS (called the Disco Potato, better flow and quicker spool) ~340WHP
GT2871R (Next gen., better flow and power with quicker spool) ~400WHP
GT2540R "GT25R" (Quicker spool than GT2871) ~400WHP
GT30R (Big boy, laggier, BIG HP and may not include wastegate)~450-500 WHP
