Skyline Differential question

Hey guys, I've got a tech question here !

I'm looking for information on R31 Skyline differentals.
-Are they easy to come by in North America?
-Does anybody know how to easily identify one? (as in serial number or other visual clues)
-Are there other Nissan models availble here that share the same diff? (i.e. 240)

R31 is history, it's dead, you'll never fidn any R31 parts in North America.

When was the R31 made ??


Guess the R32 is such an improuvement over the R31 that nobody imports these ??

r31 i think was 88 and older and well they had there own look

Thanks for the reply Logik ....I was hoping with the fact that many of these cars are being imported here now, that the pats supply would have been stronger...maybe with time eh !

Do you know of any cars over here that might share a similar diff ??
(I.e Trucks, or 240's ???)


Were looking for a strong diff for use on a modded TR7 .... a guy in Australia is currently running the R31 diff on his car , and it's holding up very well.
Other than changing the mounting locations, the Skyline diff is allmost exactly the same size, just 0.45 inch longer.
