Is it possible to re-machine (can you even say that?) a stock muffler to be able to keep your 3" volume exhaust? I'm tired of the fart cannon look and even more of the police attention I get so was wondering If it was possible to transform a S13 muffler so that it won't reduce my exhaust flow.

no, more flow more diameter or more pipes so oem pipe diameter is going to flow like stock if you dont want a fart can buy a magnaflow dual tip or else

The simplist solution would be to get a standard looking performance muffler such as a magnaflow

The problem with your stock one is that it is most likely chambered. If you really want the OEM look, you can always get your stock tips welded on to the aftermarket muffler.
